2024 Spring Soccer begins in April! 

 

Registration will open the week of February 12th!

 

Welcome to VAA Soccer!  We are so happy you are interested in participating in our program. Our season will begin April 29th and conclude June 20th. Practices begin the week of April 29th with games starting mid May.  There will be approximately 8 games played and 5-6 practices.

Important Dates: 

Registration closes April 5th
Rosters completed April 14th - parents will be notified no later than Thursday, April 18th.  See dates of play for days your child has practice/games.

Weather Cancellation Information

We all know that MN weather can be unpredictable.  On a day with questionable weather please keep an eye out for an email cancellation from the Commissioner or your coach.  We try to hold off as long as we can and you will be notified 1 hour prior to your child's practice or game.

 


BRING TO PRACTICE: Water bottle, soccer ball (see sizes below), shin guards covered by socks and athletic shoes or soccer cleats cleats for 1st grade and up).
Preschool & Kindergarten = size 3 ball
Grades 1/2 and grades 3-5 = size 4 ball
Grades 6 & Up = size 5 ball

RULES
No headers, slide tackling, punting with the exception of 6-8th grade.  Teams will play 3v3, 4v4 (pre-k and kindergarten) and 7v7 (includes the goalie) for 1st grade and above.  Pre-k and Kindergarten play inside the Hayes and VMS rinks.  No goal keepers at those grade levels.  We are not a win at all costs association.  Please no blow outs.  Coaches will act as referees at the 1st-2nd grade level.  Refs will officiate from 3rd grade and above.  

 

Financial assistance and scholarships - For the Community Soccer program all Financial assistance/Scholarship forms must be received by the admin no later than 2 weeks prior to close of registration.  These are on a first come first served basis as there is a limited number per season.  Please register and submit early to avoid being denied.
