Participants--Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth grade boys and girls (grade in fall). (note that 6th graders can also go out for their middle school teams but are welcome to join us for pre-season training)
Cost--$55.00. Registration opens June 1, 2025; Registration closes Aug. 14, 2025
Format--Principles of cross country running. Learn the beneficial aspects of aerobic fitness and competition. Emphasis on team camaraderie and fun.
Equipment--T-shirts, shorts, and shoes. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
Awards--Awards will be given at the completion of the season.
Season--All practice sessions will begin at 6:00 p.m. They will last approximately 1 hour. Most sessions will take place at the Apple Valley High School track. Some drills are done on or near the track along with off road running on surrounding trails.
Races--Five throughout the season, all one-mile distance.
Practice--Administered by lifelong runners and parent volunteers.
Note: Practices may be cancelled for weather-related events (extreme heat; heavy rain; lightning; air quality).
Philosophy--Emphasis is on fun, participation, and being able to complete the race distances without being overly concerned with time.

Farquar Park: There are two parking lots for the park, one on Pilot Knob (43 parking spots, plus one handicapped spot) and one (10 spots) off of Dominica Way, which can be reach off of Pilot Knob, turning west on Elkwood Drive, and left/north onto Dominica Way.
