2024 Parent Meeting Presentation
AVTB HANDBOOK -- PLEASE REVIEW!!!!
The Apple Valley Traveling Baseball board has approved a handbook which outlines AVTB's guiding principles and mission, code of conduct requirements and other important information. We encourage every family to read the handbook. Families will be required to turn in a signed copy of the Acknowledgement of Adhering to Handbook signature page at tryouts.

UNIFORM FITTING TUESDAY and THURSDAY THIS WEEK!!!
Tuesday 3/12/24 or Thursday 3/14/24, 6:30pm-8:00pm @ VAA Fieldhouse (small building next to AV community center)
Please plan to stop by the VAA field house for a quick uniform fitting. All players will be getting new jerseys for the 2024 season. We have two fitting sessions available, so please make every effort to attend one of these sessions.
Players are required to attend with their guardian! Players will be trying on sample jerseys prior to selecting a size. Please note that once ordered, you will not be able to return/exchange the new jersey.
New players will also be selecting their jersey number.
Players are responsible for purchasing white baseball pants with no stripes or piping. These will be available for try on at uniform fitting and can be purchased through the spiritwear site or on your own.

Baseball Bat Standards
2024 Bat Regulations
For the 2024 MBL Fall League and 2024 MBL/MBT seasons, MBL/MBT will allow the use of both USA and USSSA approved stamped bats in our leagues as well as in tournament play. The decision is in part to simplify the rules and regulations in both league and tournament play in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
The following bat regulations will be in place:
Bats - The following pertains to the legality of bats in the MBL/MBT for the upcoming 2023 season:
- 9-11 year olds - Maximum diameter at the thickest part: 2 1/4", 2 1/2?, 2 5/8? or 2 ¾? with UNLIMITED weight differential and a USSSA or USA mark and meet Bat Performance Standards.
- 12-13 year olds - Maximum diameter at the thickest part: 2 1/4" or less with UNLIMITED weight differential and a USSSA or USA mark and meet Bat Performance Standards.
- 12-13 year olds - Maximum diameter at the thickest part: 2 1/2", 2 5/8?, or 2 ¾? barrel with minus 10 weight differential and a USSSA or USA mark and meet Bat Performance Standards.
- 14 year olds - Maximum diameter at the thickest part: 2 3/4" or less barrel with maximum minus 5 weight differential with USSSA or USA mark and meet Bat Performance Standards. (This includes 14/15A Division)
- 15 year olds - Maximum diameter at the thickest part: 2 5/8" or less with a minus 3 weight differential and be BBCOR approved.
- In length: 36" or less
