Traveling Tennis
Our program's philosophy - always play with a positive attitude, give your full effort every time you step on the court and follow the rules of good sportsmanship. 2012 Summer VAA Traveling Tennis begins on Monday, June 11th.
All players responsible for becoming a junior USTA member ($20/yr.); go to www.usta.com or call 1-800-990-USTA (savings for 3 and 5 year memberships)
The season begins the first Monday after the school year ends in June. Remember that you must become a United States Tennis Association (USTA) member prior to playing your first match. Season runs June - July with Area Championships - July 16/17; Section Championships - July 22-26 at The Baseline Tennis Center at The U of MN Campus. Tennis in the offseason - Participate in USTA Jr. Tournaments, watch tennis and see how the pros move and develop points, drill at one of the many indoor court facilities in the area, check out tennis exercises online.
